Archival Research of Italian-Canadian Immigration and Culture
Archival Research of Italian-Canadian Immigration and Culture exhibits undergraduate research with Italian-Canadian Narratives Showcase (ICNS) and available online directly from the ICNS homepage, Guelph University.
History and Purpose of Online Exhibits
Archival Research of Italian-Canadian Immigration and Culture was established by Sandra Parmegiani and Teresa Russo at the Ninth Annual ICAP Conference in 2019 for the purpose of encouraging and showcasing undergraduate research in the field of Italian Canadian Studies. The cite represents projects by undergraduate students at University College in the University of Toronto and the University of Brock, Niagara. Students research national, provincial, and local city archives to learn more about Italian immigration to Canada, Italian heritage and traditions, and Italian-Canadian contributions. The projects are initiated in Dr. Teresa Russo’s Italian Canadian Studies courses and culminate in an undergraduate conference presentation at the end of each term. A selection of the academic posters is published as contributions of Italian-Canadian Narratives.
